An experienced maritime captain and project manager based in Bend, Oregon, Parker Stockdale has overseen core technical processes and business operations at Obsidian 3D since 2025. As the owner of Obsidian 3D, he manages all 3D data capture and field operations, with a focus on operating advanced 3D laser scanning equipment. Parker Stockdale has effectively managed 3D scanning projects in a wide range of unique environments, including buildings, active construction sites, and various complex machinery.
Mr. Stockdale served as a technical project manager, owner’s representative, and captain for a yacht project in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, between 2014 and 2019. He subsequently worked in a consulting role for Midcontinent Instruments and Avionics, followed by a consulting position at FedEx and a senior project manager position with Spectrum Building and Restoration. Before joining Obsidian 3D, he held project management positions at North Cabinet Company and Crucible Engineering.
Mr. Stockdale has completed extensive professional training in the maritime industry. He maintains various certifications with the United States Coast Guard, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
